FAQs

Below are some frequently asked questions from clients at Back-In-Action Chiropractic.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us using our online form or call 608-782-7738.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

While we accept all insurance, we are not in network* or on any preferred provider lists.  If you have out of network coverage, we will send claims to your insurance and wait to bill you for your portion.  Once we receive explanation of benefits (EOB) and have applied any insurance payment to your account, we will send you a statement for the balance on your account.

*Exception: Medicare.  We are a participating (in network) provider in Medicare.  Medicare covers chiropractic manipulation but will not cover any exam fees or other therapies provided.

DO YOU TAKE WORKERS COMPENSATION & PERSONAL INJURY INSURANCE?

Yes.  It is your responsibility to bring claim numbers and any contact names and numbers we need to confirm where to send claims.  If you have an attorney and a delay in payment is expected while your case is processed, it is your responsibility to keep us updated on the progress of the case and make sure we get paid when the case settles.

HOW LONG SHOULD I PLAN TO BE THERE?

We schedule our new patient visits for 1 hour. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for paperwork. Alternatively, new patient paperwork is available to print online, or you can request we email the paperwork when you schedule your appointment. Following your new patient appointment Dr. Bakken will recommend 15 or 30 minutes for your appointment depending on his findings and treatment plan. Maintenance or supportive care appointments are typically 15 minutes.

HOW MUCH WILL TREATMENT COST?

A new patient visit is $148, this includes the new patient exam and any treatment that you receive on your first visit. Following your new patient appointment, costs vary with type of care recommended. While treatments are tailored to the individual, most appointments are between $50 and $72. At your request, we will provide a written estimate of the costs associated with your individualized treatment plan. If you would like to continue with “tune-up” visits at a regular interval following a treatment plan (usually once every 2 to 8 weeks depending upon the patient), maintenance care appointments are $45.

WILL I NEED TO KEEP COMING BACK FOREVER?

Absolutely not! Our goal is to design a treatment plan that helps you heal and teaches you how to prevent further injury. We do not have a “typical” plan, once weekly for 4 weeks may work great for one patient while another may require a more intensive start at twice weekly for 2 weeks, then decrease to once weekly for 4 weeks. Treatment is always patient and injury specific. We do not sign you up for any long term plans, and we will not ask you to commit to a maintenance program by collecting money ahead of time.

The entire team at Back-In-Action Chiropractic is focused on helping you to move better, feel better, and heal better.
